I was ironclad and shackled down
to the grave that I called home.
Sweet were the clods to my taste,
but turned bitter when I saw His face.
With unclean lips, He purged my sin,
broke my chains and took me in.
With righteousness, I stand before His throne,
and by His grace, He takes me home.
